In this session, they invite Mr Lien Choong Luen, General Manager of Gojek Singapore, to have a chat and lively discussion with USP students on how Gojek plans to value-add to the local ride-hailing market, and its future plans in Singapore and the region.

Career Planning Workshop

Organised by USP Career Services, this workshop is run by USP alum Joel Lam (Philosophy + USP, Class of 2016), currently a regional strategy analyst at MasterCard, who is passionate to share with his USP juniors on career planning. He will touch on identifying synergies and skill gaps to build a roadmap towards your desired job, and using frameworks to change your perspectives on viewing and growing your career meaningfully. This session will be useful for students who are unsure on how to plan their activities in university that will support their career aspirations.

Creative Writing Workshop – ‘A Very Human Way of Making Life More Bearable’: The Art of Fiction

This semester, USP has invited an experienced instructor, Dr Yeo Wei Wei, to conduct a creative writing workshop for USP students. Every Thursday, starting this 29 Aug, this workshop will allow students to discover the truth of Kurt Vonnegut’s statement (he describes creative writing as ‘a very human way of making life more bearable’) and provides an introduction to the fundamentals of writing fiction – short stories and novels.

The Sessions: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ethics

In this session, they invite Mr Jason Tamara Widjaja, Associate Director of Data Science (Artificial Intelligence) at MSD – a leading global biopharmaceutical company, for a chat with USP students on how existing technology raises concerns about AI Ethics and how new AI technologies bring about new ethical problems.
