Dialogue on Abusive Relationships

Theme Room 1, USP

Organised by Love, USP, this dialogue session invites representatives from Brave Spaces, AWARE and PAVE to discuss about abusive relationships – identifying what is abuse, how to provide support, why abusive relationships happen, and the challenges in leaving them. Organisers hoped that this would be a comfortable and safe space to learn and empathise, and to recognise what an abusive relationship is, so that we can move towards building healthy relationships in our lives.

Exchange Exchange 2019

Organised by Love, USP, this closed-door dialogue will discuss the challenges of participating in an overseas exchange programme. Whether you are a current exchange student struggling to adjust, a returning exchange student who doesn't feel comfortable sharing a less-than-ideal experience in most spaces, a prospective exchange student feeling anxious about leaving, or a non-exchange student feeling left behind, you are welcome to join.

The Privilege Talk: Gender

In this closed-door dialogue session organised by Gender Collective, the talk aims to situate the nitty-gritty of privilege discourse in our lived experiences in Singapore, using gender as a lens, and empower people to think about how structures of privilege affect groups in society in their own time.

Throughout our lives, we have internalised various narratives from the media and loved ones on the bodies society finds acceptable, enviable and even undesirable. Organised by Gender Collective, this closed-door discussion on body ideals hopes to give better clarity on body positivity.
