Intersection of Tradition and Technology: Japan

Japan

This is a new USP International Programme organised and initiated by USP students. Twelve USP students travel to Japan for this interdisciplinary programme that aims to explore the cross-sections of both the traditions and modern technologies in different fields. Japan as a country is at this very intersection, a country that is steeped in its own traditions and cultures, yet still constantly on the forefront of modern technological breakthroughs and advancements. The programme will bring students through Nagoya and Tokyo, as well as more rural areas such as Suzaka and Kiso Valley.

Global Next Leaders Forum

Japan

Three USP students will travel to Tokyo to participate in the Global Next Leaders Forum. The student-led conference was initiated in 2010 by students from the University of Tokyo and aims to build international networks, create platforms for students from around the world to exchange ideas and develop leaders who tackle global issues. The 2018 conference will focus on the topic of “Gender”.
