Differentiate Resume in Post COVID World

As the global pandemic changes the employment landscape, the USP Career Services is conducting this virtual workshop to guide our students on how to differentiate one’s resume and reflect one’s relevance in a post-COVID world, with the hope of increasing one’s chance of securing an interview

Who Cares for Our Caregivers?

Organised by Gender Collective and Love, USP, the teams have invited a researcher from The Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE), Filzah Sumartono, who will shed light on past provisions and challenges, as well as policy improvements needed for caregiver citizens and migrant domestic workers. Do join them if you are interested to learn about the challenges of caregiving labour.

Plan How to Transit to VUCA World

The COVID-19 pandemic has not only disrupted the economy, but also reshaped the employment landscape and working life.  Therefore, it is important for students to adopt an integrated approach to career planning during their university days. This means that you need to take ownership and be intentional in planning student activities, that will support your career aspiration, upon graduation in a post-COVID world.

USP Career Services is organising this virtual workshop to guide you on how to adopt an integrated approach to career planning during your university days.

BrainFood+

BrainFood+ is a not-for-credit programme that is very much a USP special! It consists of a small group of USP students meeting up with a volunteer member of the USP faculty/an alumnus to read and learn together on a weekly basis – some may explore outside their formal learning interests, while others may add a relaxed ad hoc dimension to their graded coursework. There will be several Brainfood+ groups to cater to the diverse interests within our community. Each group meets once a week for ca. 60 minutes. It will be on a day between Mon to Thurs, and will take place over 8 weeks. Students get to lead discussion too once a group is off to a good start. USP helps to subsidise the cost of the book.

Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Centre (CTPCLC) Symposium and Graduation 2021

The CTPCLC holds its symposium annually to provide a platform for its fellows to present and share the knowledge and experiences they have gained from their social research and/or community development projects. At the same time, the symposium hopes to reach out to and inspire more NUS students to take on the responsibility to address social issues in Singapore. The CTPCLC fellows, some of whom are also USP students, will discuss the field research projects they have undertaken with various social service organisations. Thereafter, Guest-of-Honour Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law, Mr Edwin Tong, will engage with participants in a dialogue. We strongly encourage USP students to join in this symposium and conversation with Minister Tong.
