Application to be a USP Ambassador opens from 11 Aug to 19 Aug, and interviews will be held from 23 to 27 Aug.

USProductions by USP students proudly presents “Dreams of Sushi”. Due to the pandemic, this production has been in the making for about 1.5 years and is set to be the first live virtual screening. To recreate post-show discussions, there will be a talkback session with the team from 10pm to 10.30pm. PLAYSET!, an online literary magazine based in USP, is hosting two writing workshops produced and conducted by the team. Join the sessions should you be interested in learning about how to craft compelling stories. Workshop 1: Narrative (22 Aug, Sunday, 2.30-4pm) Learn about creating dynamic narratives using different structures and techniques Workshop 2: Language (2 Sep, Thursday, 8.30-10pm) Learn about linguistic tools, the power of language, and effective language tips There are 20 slots available for each workshop on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The Cinnamon Conversation: “Racism, Privilege, and a Culture War in Singapore?” with A/P Daniel Goh
Organised by The Cinnamon Conversations, this session invites A/P Daniel Goh for a conversation about racism and privilege in Singapore. A/P Goh was also a panellist at the IPS-RSIS Forum on Race and Racism in Singapore. As a sociologist, he specialises in comparative historical sociology and study state formation, race and multiculturalism, Asian urbanisms, and religion. A/P Goh is currently the Associate Provost (Undergraduate Education) and an Associate Professor of Sociology at NUS. He was formerly a Non-Constituency Member of Parliament from 2016 to 2020, and a member of the Workers’ Party Central Executive Committee from 2013 to 2020.

This Alumni Pillowtalk session invites USP alum Nicole Seah (Communications and New Media + USP, Class of 2009) to engage in a discussion with our students. Alumni Pillowtalk aims to be a place for USP alums to share their perspectives as well as experiences since their graduation, while also engaging in topical discussions. Nicole is currently the Youth Wing President and member of the Central Executive Committee of The Worker's Party. She is also the Director at Publicis Media, and was formerly a member of the Reform Party and the National Solidarity Party.
