USP will be having our virtual Open Day from 4 – 6 March. There will be a range of activities such as USP and NUS-Sciences Po Double Degree Programme talks, live chats with USP current students, interactive tours of USP and Cinnamon College, sample classes by our faculty members and an online forum to engage with prospective students. Find Your Ikigai SG Programme (Preview Session)
As part of the USP Talent Development Programme to develop the core competency of “Self-Directedness”, USP has partnered with Growthbeans and NYC (National Youth Council) to equip you with the relevant life skills through “Find Your Ikigai SG Programme” with group coaching by our USP alums (Qualified Life Coach), Shane Yan and Shamantha Yan from Class of 2008. There are three segments to this preview session. Following the preview session, students are encouraged to sign up for the 10-week course to learn in-depth about the life skills. The 1st segment is “Begin to Find Your Inner Why and Manage Your Life Better”.

How would disruptive forces such as digitalisation and personalisation change the education sector in the Post-COVID age? Join The Sessions for a discussion on these questions with two invited guests – USP alum Marvin Kang (BIZ + USP, Class of 2012), a former policy officer of MOE and co-founder of the Astronaut’s Collective, a not-for-profit organisation that helps youth find meaningful careers, and Alisa Maya, a Teaching Specialist at the Learning Lab.

“Urban Planning sounds interesting but I'm not in a related field of study..” “I want to learn more about Urban Planning, but don't have time to take a full module on it..” “How does Urban Planning play out in the real world?” Organised by The Cinnamon (Academic) Conversations, this session hosts Chief Planner Ms Hwang Yu-Ning from Singapore's Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) who will be sharing more about urban planning. Migrant Labour in Singapore: COVID-19 and its Aftermath
Join this conversation with USP faculty Dr Leung Wing Sze, three USP students and four invited speakers – Debbie Fordcye (President of Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2)), Mayrhose Coronado (a self-taught and award-winning photographer who worked in Singapore as a domestic helper), Zakir Hossain Khokon (a construction supervisor and freelance journalist) and Madhavan Ramasamy (a construction site engineer and a poet) – as they look at various issues and difficulties migrant workers in Singapore have experienced during and after the COVID-19 lockdown, as well as the treatment they deserve. Three USP students – Vera Khoo, Tan Jun Jie and Justin Quek – will also present findings from their research during the session.
