Singapore’s acclaimed and well-known filmmaker Tan Pin Pin has been invited to visit USP and have a dialogue with our students. In this session, she will discuss on art, documentation, history, memory, politics, and why Inuka the polar bear often cameos in her works. This conversation will be hosted by A/P Lo Mun Hou. USP community is strongly encouraged to join this conversation with her.

In this dialogue session facilitated by USP students, participants will discuss how our faiths inform our views on humans’ potential power over life and death in this technological age. No prior knowledge on religion or science is required. Participants are encouraged to come ready to share and engage with other perspectives.

The Case Interview is one of the toughest interview formats used by many top companies around the world. In this four-hour hands-on workshop, the trainer will share some of the tips, techniques, and common mistakes made in case interviews, and let you experience live mock case interview situations. You will get to receive and deliver a case. By putting you in the shoes of an interviewer, you will, hopefully, better appreciate and develop key insights into what real-life interviewers look out for.

The QR Centre is organising a talk titled "Cancer Research: The Hunt for Significant p-values" by Mr Wouter van Loocke from the Centre for Medical Genetics at Ghent University in Belgium. Mr Loocke will be sharing his expertise on the application of biostatistics and biostatistics software on cancer research, as well as some of his latest findings in the field. It will be followed by a screening of "Gattaca". All are welcome, so come join this session for a lively discussion on an important topic, and if you can, stay for the movie too!

USP faculty Dr Pamela Pun, who teaches the Sciences and Technologies module “UPC2210 - Energy in Singapore: Is Technology the Answer?”, has invited Mr Chee Hong Tat, Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Health and Communications and Information, to speak to USP students. Mr Chee has an interesting background in the Energy Market Authority prior to entering politics. Facilitated by The Sessions, there will be breakout sessions to discuss and bounce off ideas with Mr Chee and fellow participants. We look forward to active participation from the USP community.

Join our Writer-in Residence Ms Miriam Bird Greenberg as she presents a compelling body of work inspired by travel and those who travel. Along with reading her poetry, Ms Greenberg will also share about her work with economic migrants and asylum seekers of Hong Kong’s Chungking Mansions. This tour is co-organised by NUS Office of Environmental Sustainability, Raffles Hall and USP for NUS community to explore the various community gardens in NUS and share their gardening experience and knowledge.
