SUMMARY:BrainFood+
DESCRIPTION:BrainFood+ is a not-for-credit programme that is very much a USP special! It consists of a small group of USP students meeting up with a volunteer member of the USP faculty/an alumnus to read and learn together on a weekly basis – some may explore outside their formal learning interests\, while others may add a relaxed ad hoc dimension to their graded coursework. There will be several Brainfood+ groups to cater to the diverse interests within our community. Each group meets once a week for ca. 60 minutes. It will be on a day between Mon to Thurs\, and will take place over 8 weeks. Students get to lead discussion too once a group is off to a good start. USP helps to subsidise the cost of the book.

SUMMARY:Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Centre (CTPCLC) Symposium and Graduation 2021
DESCRIPTION:The CTPCLC holds its symposium annually to provide a platform for its fellows to present and share the knowledge and experiences they have gained from their social research and/or community development projects. At the same time\, the symposium hopes to reach out to and inspire more NUS students to take on the responsibility to address social issues in Singapore. The CTPCLC fellows\, some of whom are also USP students\, will discuss the field research projects they have undertaken with various social service organisations. Thereafter\, Guest-of-Honour Minister for Culture\, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law\, Mr Edwin Tong\, will engage with participants in a dialogue. We strongly encourage USP students to join in this symposium and conversation with Minister Tong.
