Five USP students, together with NUS students from other faculties, will travel to Jakarta on a programme led by USP faculty A/P Syed Farid Alatas. The programme aims to acquaint participants with various aspects of Islamic thought in Indonesia, with particular emphasis on the challenges presented to modern Muslims.

Two USP students will travel to Tufts University to participate in the Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship (EPIIC) International Symposium hosted by the Institute for Global Leadership. The theme for this year’s symposium is “Order and Chaos: Diplomacy and Force in a Changing World” and students will present an issue related to the theme, attend panel discussions and participate in informal gatherings and workshops.

Chua Thian Poh Community Leadership Programme (CTPCLP) is organising its introductory workshops to build up the capabilities of student fellows and any interested students in carrying out their research on social issues in Singapore. The workshops will be conducted by CTPCLP Director, A/P Albert Teo. CTPCLP is based in and supported by USP.
