As part of the Art Month initiative, the USC Art Directorate has planned a range of activities to cater to the diverse artistic interests in our community. A different theme is adopted each week, and for this last week of the Art Month, the theme is “Music”. USP invites Prof Tan Tai Yong, President and Professor of Humanities (History) at Yale-NUS College, for an interesting sharing on "What do to with the Bicentennial?". Singapore will commemorate the Bicentennial this year, marking the 200th anniversary of the landing of Stamford Raffles in 1819. The Bicentennial provokes a number of questions about Singapore’s history, and how we relate to that history. Professor Tan (also an Advisory Panel Member for the Singapore Bicentennial Office) will address some history questions in this session.

Organised by the University Scholars Club (USC), The February Thing is a welcome dinner for the new semester and the festive season. Come down in your best floral/pink outfits, and join them for a night of good food and lohei (starts at 7pm!). Everyone in the USP community is invited!

Organised by Love, USP, this closed-door dialogue will discuss the challenges of participating in an overseas exchange programme. Whether you are a current exchange student struggling to adjust, a returning exchange student who doesn't feel comfortable sharing a less-than-ideal experience in most spaces, a prospective exchange student feeling anxious about leaving, or a non-exchange student feeling left behind, you are welcome to join.
