Targeting the Cardiac Epigenome by A/P Roger Foo

Master's Commons, USP

In this session, A/P Roger Foo will discuss the advances in heart failure treatment and potential areas of contention for these available treatments. Endogenous progenitor-derived cardio myocytes (CMs) in the adult mammalian heart poses a few issues. Together with knockdown of noncoding RNAs, studies reveal targeted inhibition may hold the potential for therapeutic development in cardiac regeneration. A/P Foo is currently Associate Professor and Senior Consultant at the Department of Cardiology, NUS and NUH. He is also the Senior Investigator of Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS).
