Brief Introduction

Dr Jose C. E. Mendoza is currently a Museum Officer and the Curator of Crustacea at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, and Managing Editor of the Raffles Bulletin of Zoology. He is also a Joint Appointee Lecturer in the University Scholars Programme (USP) at National University of Singapore (NUS). Dr Mendoza received his PhD in Biological Sciences from NUS, and his Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Biology from the University of the Philippines.

His research primarily focuses on the systematics of marine and freshwater crabs of the Southeast Asian region and the larger Indo-West Pacific region. He has previously taught modules in the Department of Biological Sciences and the Bachelor of Environmental Studies Programme in NUS.
