Six Inspiring USP Alumni Honoured at the NUS Alumni Awards 2021
Six inspiring USP alumni were honoured with the prestigious NUS Outstanding Young Alumni Award and Team (Alumni) Award at this year’s NUS Alumni Awards held on 5 November 2021. This is the largest number of USP alumni honoured in a single year. We're extremely proud of them, namely:
Outstanding Young Alumni Award
This Award recognises alumni aged 40 and below who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields, and/or rendered excellent volunteer service to NUS and/or the community while exemplifying the best attributes of youth in today's world.
Muhammad Ibnur Rashad Bin Zainal Abidin (Engineering Science + USP, Class of 2011), Founder and Chief Innovation Officer, Ground-Up Innovation Labs for Development (GUILD);
Aseem Kumar Thakur (Mechanical Engineering + USP, Class of 2009), Co-Founder, GIVE.asia, and Founder and CEO, Aseemai;
Rameez Ansar (Computing + USP, Class of 2005), Co-Founder, Circles.Life;
Dr Zhou Lihan (Biomedical Science + USP, Class of 2007), Co-Founder and CEO, MiRXES; and
Tin Pei Ling (Psychology + USP, Class of 2007), Member of Parliament and CEO, Business China
Team (Alumni) Award
This Award recognises the outstanding achievements of alumni teams who have collectively distinguished themselves in their chosen fields. They have rendered good volunteer service to NUS and/or the community.
