USP Alums Among Gen.T 2020 List
Unveiled on 15 October 2020, three USP alums have been placed in this year's Singapore Tatler's Generation T (Gen.T) List – a list of individuals who are shaping Singapore and Asia’s future. They are:
David Wang (Business + USP, Class of 2008), Co-founder and CEO of Helicap Group
Aseem Kumar Thakur (Mechanical Engineering + NUS Overseas Colleges + USP, Class of 2009), Co-founder and CEO of Givola
Muhammad Ibnur Rashad Bin Zainal Abidin (Engineering Science + NUS Overseas Colleges + USP, Class of 2011), Founder and Director (Innovation Sciences) of Ground-up Innovation Labs for Development (Guild)
Recognising young leaders who are driving positive impact and catalysing change, the list has presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia. Our heartiest congratulations to David for providing unbanked people with access to capital, Aseem for making it easier for people to support and raise money for good causes in Asia, and Ibnur for making the world a better place with his inventions. Ibnur’s latest projects include curating an invention bootcamp with the Singapore Science Centre for schools to design solutions for an elderly centre and family service centre, as well as developing riverbots to help marine researchers in Southeast Asia in their conservation work.
Gen.T’s List has seen many of our USP alums being featured in recent years – a testament that USP alums are continually breaking boundaries and making real, concrete impact in Singapore and the world today.
