| Types of Grants Available 1. Study and Research Grant (Please apply via - https://usp3.nus.edu.sg/sgs_isis/login.jsp ) This grant provides funding for USP students to pursue research and learning opportunities on an individual basis. Funding will enable students to: - Present a paper in an academic conference;
- Attend a conference, course or workshop that has clear leadership or research components;
- Participate in an internship or attachment;
- Pursue research opportunities.
Funding will be awarded on a competitive and case-by-case basis. The percentage and quantum of funding will be determined on the basis of the following criteria: - Academic preparedness and learning attitude of applicant;
- Intellectual merit and relevance, and prestige of conference/workshop/ course/internship/attachment;
- Level of involvement of student in the internship/attachment/research.
2. Student Activity Grant (Please apply via - https://usp3.nus.edu.sg/sgs_isis/login.jsp ) Through the Student Grants Programme, USP aims to encourage its students to initiate and organize outside-the-classroom, group activities that can further students' intellectual, leadership, and/or personal growth, and enhance community building among students. Such proposed activities include overseas study trips, symposia, and forums. Funding is provided to enable students to organize activities that are: - Congruent with the educational objectives of USP;
- Intended for participation of a group of USP students (as opposed to a few individuals);
- Beneficial to USP as a whole.
In addition, USP will provide partial funding for selected projects on a competitive and case-by-case basis based on the following criteria: - Merit and relevance of the activity;
- Well-preparedness of the proposal;
- Benefit the activity will bring to USP as a whole;
- Evidence that the activity will be well-organized.
