| In 2004, the Australian National University and National University of Singapore agreed to cooperate in the development of a range of innovative joint degree programmes that build on the particular strengths of both universities. These programmes are uniquely designed for high-achieving, intellectually-enquiring and research-focused students.
The joint degree programme places emphasis on research built upon a strong foundation in broad-based critical inquiry. The programme aims to combine a strong emphasis on independent, disciplinary enquiry, which will prepare students for possible future research, with broad-based critical learning. In addition, it will provide a greater range of offerings than either university could alone. Students will enjoy the benefit of complementary modules and faculty from the two universities.
It is only offered to Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) and Faculty of Science (FOS) students in USP.
