USP-Lady Shri Ram College for Women Cultural Immersion Programme
Introduction
Student Exchange Programme between University Scholars Programme (National University of Singapore) and Lady Shri Ram College for Women (University of Delhi)
The University Scholars Programme (NUS) and the Lady Shri Ram College for Women (University of Delhi) signed an exchange agreement on 15 February 2008, which provides opportunities for 2 students to study for up to a year at the partner institution per academic year.
During their stay at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, USP students will read modules on Indian history, culture, society and economy, and will also benefit from extended interaction with the future leaders of India.

Selection and Admission
Selection and Admission
The USP-LSR SEP is restricted to a maximum of 2 USP students per academic year.
Students will be selected on the basis of merit and must:
- be registered as full-time undergraduate student at NUS (USP) and;
- have successfully completed at least one semester of study at NUS upon application for the cultural immersion programme; and two semesters of study upon admission to Lady Shri Ram College for Women;
- achieved a minimum 'B' average grade;
- propose an appropriate programme of study at Lady Shri Ram College for Women;
- show the aptitude, motivation and maturity, to thrive in the environment at Lady Shri Ram College for Women; and
- have sufficient funds for all fees, personal and living expenses for the duration of the study abroad at Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
USP students interested in the USP-LSR SEP may apply when the application for USP Student Exchange Programme opens in September / October of each year. Students must apply online. See USP SEP Application
Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
Programme and Requirements
Programme of Study and Curricular Requirement
Students matriculating in 2011 and before who have completed one full semester of study at Lady Shri Ram College for Women are deemed to have fulfilled their USP advanced curriculum requirement (via cultural immersion option). There is no further substitution for first-tier modules or other USP modules.
Students matriculating in 2012 and after who have completed one full semester of study at Lady Shri Ram College for Women are deemed to have taken four Inquiry tier modules, two in the Humanities and Social Sciences domain and two in the Sciences and Technologies domain. There is no further substitution for USP modules.
Fees
Fees and Expenses
Tuition fees are paid to the home university, and are waived by the host university.
The exchange student will bear the following financial responsibility:
- medical/health insurance;
- obligatory expenditure required in the country of the host university;
- journey to and from the country of the host university;
- personal and living expenses;
- all expenses of accompanying spouse and/or dependants; and
- debts incurred for the duration of their study abroad.
USP students participating in the USP-LSR SEP will be provided accommodation by Lady Shri Ram College for Women at no charge. Accommodation is restricted to exchange students and does not extend to dependants and/or spouses.
