Possible Study Schedules for the Advanced Curriculum

Typically, a USP student completes his/her First-Tier Requirement in the first four semesters and embarks on his/her Advanced Curriculum in Semesters 4-6. He/she would normally concentrate on the honours programme in the last two semesters. Students should therefore decide on an Advanced Curriculum Option by the end of Semester 3.

While there are no standard schedules, the following are some possible ones, and should serve as a guide:

(A - 1) Academic Inquiry

* Students should as much as possible incorporate part of their Advanced Curriculum into the SEP. They are also encouraged to seek vacation internship/ attachment in the SEP University or country following the SEP semester.
** Typically, for one-semester SEP, students may apply to substitute one USP First-Tier module and one USP Advanced Module substitution.

(A - 2) Academic Inquiry (For students on Double Degree Programme with French Grandes Ecoles)

Students may apply for up to 4 First-Tier module substitutions. USP students pursuing a French double-degree programme administered by their home faculties will be able to have their USP advanced curriculum requirements met upon successful completion of the French DDP.   Certification letter and transcript from the foreign university must be submitted to the USP Office for the waiver of the USP advanced requirements.
