USP Faculty A/P Albert Teo Receives the Red Ribbon Award 2018

We are delighted to share that USP Deputy Director (Student Life), A/P Albert Teo, was presented with the Red Ribbon Award 2018 at the 11th Singapore AIDS Conference. Held on 8 December at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, the award was given in recognition of his volunteer work with people living with HIV over the past 18 years.

December 2018

USP alum Choo Ruizhi (History + USP, Class of 2017) submitted his short story entry on Facebook for the ‘Utterly changed. The Substation Writing Competition’ and was awarded Third Prize (S$1,000). There was a total of 62 entries for this competition.

Another USP alum Tiffany Chuang May (Sociology + USP, Class of 2011) was also a recipient of the scholarship for Academic Year 2017/18.

USP students contributed much to the success of the recent 17th ASEAN University Network (AUN) and 6th ASEAN+3 Educational Forum and Young Speakers Contest. Held from 22-26 May 2017 at USP, the event provided a platform for discussions, public speaking and academic presentations by some 50 students from ASEAN+3 (China, Japan and the Republic of Korea) countries. A group of USP students represented NUS in either participating or organising the event.
